Boxer
These energetic dogs love to be around children, and will happily play with your youngsters for hours. Boxers love to cuddle, and being near their young owners is their constant joy. As long as they get their daily walk, run or playtime, this even-tempered breed is well-adjusted even in a small condo or apartment.

Adorable, affectionate and devoted to the youngsters in the family, an old English sheepdog is as well a great protector. This intelligent breed is fiercely and loudly protective of its young charges, and its strength makes it a great choice to keep strangers at bay. An energetic pet, the retriever loves to play with kids, and is eager to please you and your tots. A fairly large animal at 65 to 75 pounds fully grown, a golden retriever is best for families whose homes have plenty of room to romp inside and out.
