We all like to drink coffee every morning. More than 80% of the US population drinks coffee everyday. But, do you know where the most expensive coffee in the world comes from? Well, the answer might shock you. Kopi Luwak, the most expensive coffee in the world, is produced from coffee beans that have passed through the digestive system of a civet cat. This cat eats all the coffee cherries but does not digest it but it deposits them. Due to the digestive process, the bean becomes less acidic, lower in protein, and lower in caffeine. Finally, this produces a smooth, aromatic Kopi Luwak.

4. Baby Poop Sausages

Researchers have developed a way to ferment sausage that could be more healthy, bacteria-rich food. As we all know, sausages get that flavor due to bacterial fermentation. But the only catch is that the bacteria used was gathered from human infant feces. These sausages were given to professional tasters, who camme to a conclusion that the flavor was indistinguishable from normal fuet.

It is a secretion of the Laccifer lacca Kerr insect and is in the form of Lac. It is formed on the tree twigs which are soaked in water to remove any debris and then soaked again in sodium carbonate to remove acid. The purified Shellac is then used in many food products.
