Top 3 Tech Cars of 2017

Technology is becoming a major consideration when choosing a car. It is no doubt that automakers understand this. As a result, every new car comes with revamped tech features. The top tech features for cars in 2017 are alternative energy, remote control, and semi-autonomous driving.

Below are cars that excel in these.

1. Electric Car: Honda Clarity

Alternative energy has been one of the most trending topics in the auto industry. The industry considers hydrogen as the future of electric vehicles. Honda eventually brings it to life with this incredible machine.

The 2017 Honda Clarity comes with a hydrogen fuel cell. Instead of liquid, it uses gaseous hydrogen to create electricity. The gas is stored in two 10,000 psi located between the rear wheels. Each full tank can propel the vehicle for 150 miles. Under high acceleration, you can engage the lithium-ion battery pack for a power boost similar to that of a turbocharger.

2. Remote Control: BMW 5 Series

It has been a common trend that each version of the BMW 5 series comes with a recognizable physical difference from the earlier versions. This is no longer true for the 2018 BMW 5 and seven series. The changes are mostly technological.

The new BMW models come with a touchscreen system that allows gesture recognition. The system also has predictive street parking information. Booking garage space has been made simpler by the addition of ParkNow. Apple CarPlay support is also available in the 7-series. Besides, remote command and parking are no longer for the screens; it is real with BMW Alexa support and key fob parking control.

3. Semiautonomous driving: Tesla Model S P100D

Besides electric and remote-controlled cars, the only other hi-tech car worth mentioning is a semi-auto driven one. For starters, a semiautonomous auto can guide itself for some distance. Think of auto-piloting.

The 2017 Tesla Model comes with a revamped NVidia based machine learning system. The peripherals include an array of 12 ultrasonic sensors, eight video cameras and forward facing radar. Tesla promised to increase the semi-auto driving speed from the current 45mph. Other complimentary features are auto braking and obstacle detection.
