5. Ticks
Ticks feed on blood and attach themselves to other animals or even humans. They are known for spreading diseases. According to Wikipedia, hard ticks can transmit many human diseases such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, tularemia, equine encephalitis, Colorado tick fever, African Tick Bite Fever, and several forms of ehrlichiosis.
4. Tsetse Fly
Tsetse Fly are also known as tik-tik flies are native to the African continent. They are known to cause a disease called Sleeping Sickness in humans and animals and Nagana in cattle. The symptoms for sleeping sickness are fever and headache followed by a swell on the back of the neck. Later, the victim might experience daytime slumber, insomnia and could lead to death afterwards.
3. Bullet Ant
The Bullet Ant is known for it’s extremely potent sting. They are native to Central and South America. It’s name comes from the fact that one bite inflicts the most painful bite of any creature known to man, it literally feels like being shot. It is number one on the Schmidt Sting Pain Index.
2. Black Widow
The only spider species in the world known to be extremely venomous and can be fatal to humans. Their venom is supposed to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake’s. If bitten, the symptoms can be nausea, profuse sweating, severe pain in abdomen and back, muscle aches, hypertension and paralysis of the diaphragm, which can cause difficulty in breathing. Luckily, there is antivenom created for this.
1. Anopheles Mosquitoes
Known to be the most dangerous creature in the world. Mosquito causes more than 300 million cases of malaria annually, resulting in between 1 to 3 million deaths around the world. They sometimes carry dengue, elephantiasis, and yellow fever. Always, have a mosquito-repellent with you if you are in places where there are a lot of mosquitoes.
